Some people may misconcept about the history of AI , they think it is a new or recent emerging field in the market but in actual it traces back from early 1900s to 1950s. It only became mainstream in recent past years right? Knowing the history of AI will help to develop better understanding about how it will work and where it will take us in the future. It is basically oncerned with creating, replicating and processing the human intelligence and problem solving abilities. Also this is designed to learn from the past experiences to streamline and improve itself for future usage. Since the emergence of AI , human life has been set at the place of luxuries and in a comfortable zone . AI has unlocked the ways to deal complexities in the different domains of life and made human its huge fan by providing the quick and the best possible solutions in each and every difficult circumstance. Through AI , Its now completely possible to make, create, manipulate and establish the ideas that you want to grow or suppress in the society. But apart from the benifits of artificial intelligence in this era it has also diverse demerits and cons that needs to be addressed properly
. AI has created a looming shift in the day to day rising matters among the field workers, the students, the scientists and the engineers. This ultimate periodic shift in the history in a face of AI has led human life to the highest scale of being lazy and made dependent for everything that once human used to do by their own . Not only this it has also destroyed the natural power of thinking and creativity that humans used to have but now due to this technology people are actually became addicted or you can say became a victim of using this immensely without adding their own opinions , logics or valid reasons to the arguments, assignments or anything they are talking , writing or presenting about. If we see history many many great philosophers , thinkers or scientists are known well for their conceptions and analysis on different subjects in different fields , all because of their own better understanding and grip on the issues where they actually utilised their thoughts and ideas in an efficient way which further lead to many great discoveries like if i quote about Thomas Edison’s invention here , who invented a light bulb which actually showcases his knowledge , passion and of course creativity within his ideas . Not only Thomas we can see Ibn e Sina for his notable works for optics and physics, Jabir Bin hayaan for his historic work in the field of chemistry and for discovery the different types and kinds of chemicals, Muhammad ibne musa Al khuwarizmi for being the father of Algebra: All these scientists used their minds, concepts and built their opinions, stated their stances, published their works and because of their hard work they are still known and acknowledged for their masterpieces they showcased. They didn’t allowed their nervous system to dependent upon any sort of system generated captions , they didn’t stopped using their nerves , they didn’t stopped reflecting their creativity on the paper or in the labs, they didn’t went for the quick or easy to go mechanism rather they adapted different techniques for which they are still appreciated and made their long lasting names forever. All because of their own creativity. Even if we see through the medical lense not using your brain muscles causes a vacuum which slowly causes the permanent diminishing and usage of brain cells they regarded it as ” USE IT OR LOSE IT” which reflects that when the brain cells are not used or don’t communicate with the next door cells they loses their function. So if we see the long terms deadly results of AI we see the shortage and displacement of jobs and innovation which actually is not only about the power or the money but infact the death of the creativity and if humans will stop excercising their creativity , it will be lost like the brain cells and the muscles. About 10% of nursing task are now been done by this automated system causing severe job outsourcing. Also some jobs needs the emotional intelligence or creative thinking for the solution of complex problems which are often less susceptible to the automated softwares or robots.
Nothing can beat the power of natural thoughts process and the capacity one can exercise to gain the desired goal with an artificial or robotic software. Being self independent transforms you into a fearless and a strong human being like in the early human history where the man from haunting the birds and animal for food , using the tree leaves for hiding the body to living in the cages to protect himself from the wild animal , he managed and understood the game that is necessary for his better survival through his own thinking and the capabilities. If we see , 21st century we still are unable to find any such innovations which are made by artificial intelligence but humans. But because of the quick information in the least time that AI provides has made people his everlasting follower. Overuse of AI has caused the lack of critical thinking and knowledge in human beings and immense use of such technologies may make us vulnerable or leave us in an eleventh hour , if system starts to fail or malfunction. Through a research that was conducted in recent years, the finding shows that AI has significantly caused the loss of decision making in human and made human lazy. It showed that about 68.9% of laziness in the people , 68.6% invasion in personal privacy and security risks and about 27.7% loss of making better decisions are caused or impacted by the extra use of Artificial intelligence in Pakistani and Chinese society. It will be an example of summoning the devils if AI is addressed without stating its major concerns or cons to the human civilization or the society. Sir Dave waters says that the potential benefits of AI are huge , so are the dangers and this statement is well enough to conclude this debate.
