The electoral event in United States of America is highly watched and observed event nowadays in global world. The role of technology has carried weight in US elections in 2024, both the parties Democrats and Republicans took advantage of technology and social media to a larger extent. Both of the parties have expanded their electoral campaigns through means of social media platforms; including X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Instagram and Facebook etc. Democrats are more adaptive in terms of usage of technology through means of Electronic Voting Systems, online registration systems and showing opposition to Republicans through criticizing Trump on ethical and policy issues .But on the other side, Republicans took a huge benefit of using social media platforms for shaping public opinions and attitudes by reaching wider audience .
Through a well-known non-state activist, Elon Musk founder of Tesla and X( formerly known Twitter) is super active in campaigning for Donald Trump , Republicans. He is behind the “Progress 2028” campaign for US. This campaign is successfully launching opposing campaigns for Presidential candidate Kamala Harris by launching different advertisements , portraying a mimic version of what Harris would do if she would elected as a president, also highlighting her bias approaches and how she is bringing and highlighting Indian values into US politics and how she is in favor of allowing immigrants to vote There are big concerns that technological firms hold about responsibility to make sure that misuse of their platforms to influence the election must not be addressed. Since many of the states in IS are in swing state position and it is mostly unpredictable to predict who will be the President of United States , but keeping few facts in mind we will get to know at what extent they are grasping sense.
In my perspective, the Presidential Candidate, Donald Trump from Republicans is more likely to win the US elections because of his wholesome strategies and how clear he was since the first day for being a Presidential nominee while Democrats firstly nominated Joe Biden , but later Harris came at the front line , and another crux is of course how populous Trump is , meanwhile Harris has failed to mark the criteria of being a populous figure. Trump had some straightforward ideology and mindset since the day first of his first presidency. He acknowledged great economic policies and talked eye to eye with his opponent states. He has also been the first president of US history not to break into war and hostility.
Trump has good ties with Russia, Israel, China and if he’ll become the President then obviously things will turn out in courtesy of US . Trump also has a vision to bring back religious revival; Christianity back in America. But on the other hand Kamala is not more likely to be strong in such aspects Trump also has resonated immigration policy to securitized border security while Harris advocates for reform and pathway to citizenship. Donald Trump believes to and promises to save guard gun rights whereas Harris advocates for stricter gun control measures.
Through the right means of social media usage trump has shaped the mindsets and public opinions through which youth is in favor of him. Trump is having a traditional and conservative views and Kamala Harris is generally considered to have liberal school of thought , but in politics Traditionalists are considered to be more progressive , productive and practical in nature. In my opinion trump is better candidate for presidential seat and the above discussed points can lead the electoral event in his favor.
