Acknowledging both the pros and cons of AI is essential to strengthen democracy in the digital age. Why have many developing countries failed to introduce AI? When hearing the word democracy , most people think only of elections and stop considering what lies beyond the electoral process . Although elections play a major role in democracy, they are not its only foundation. Democracy also includes freedom of expression, the right to live, the right to move, the right to choose, and the right to earn and live according to rules and regulations. These rights become more accessible when technology connects with democracy. As the needs of the 21st century evolve, rights should be updated to meet new demands, which will represent the true democratic system in the modern world
